December 2009: Best Paper Award at IEEE-Globecom Conference for the contribution "IDMA versus CDMA: Detectors, Performance and Complexity", authored by Katsutoshi Kusume, Gerhard Bauch, and Wolfgang Utschick.

September 2009: Sommerschool in the South Tyrolean Alps (Sarntal) - Course 7: Optimization in Communications and Signal Processing taught by Johannes Huber, Wolfgang Utschick and Ralf Müller.
